Somebody's Darling
So these guys are a ton of fun. A roots rock band out of Dallas, TX, we jammed in a quick photo shoot on their tour through Chicago last week. If you haven't had a chance to catch them live, I highly recommend it. They leave blood, guts, blazing guitar riffs all over the stage. It's pretty gnarly. And Amber is Janis Joplin reincarnate, so there's that. Check them out: www.somebodysdarling.com
Anthony & Adrienne
Just horsing around with some friends at the beach the other night. These two amazing souls came to me via AirB&B when they rented my condo for a month while on a Bare Minerals mobile marketing tour (maybe you've seen it at some of the fests lately). Check it out: Bare Minerals Tour
Escondido
I love fest season because you never know who you're going to run into. In this case, desert rock soul merchants, Escondido, a really cool band out of Nashville who played Randolph Fest last weekend. The night after they played Conan, I dragged them up to my roof to chase the light in an impromptu photo shoot. It was all very random and fun and I'm really excited to see these guys break through the glass ceiling because a nicer duo couldn't be more deserving. Check them out at www.thebandescondido.com. Tried to give them a treatment btw to match their brand image and wild west washed out sound.
Ann
My beautiful friend Ann stopped by the studio last week for a couple of style shots. She's such a natural.. looking forward to doing some conceptual stuff with her down the line.
Bethany Fritz
My sweet friend Bethany, who's an amazing wedding photographer and all around good sport, let me do some light testing on her in preparation for a client shoot later that afternoon. Unfortunately, the client was delayed so Bethany got the best light of the day.
Karina & Kurt, Northwestern University
Just in time for fall, my good friend Karina, an amazing concert pianist up at Northwestern, hired me to shoot a couple of portraits of her Tenor, Kurt, and her for their fall program. How cute are these two?
Ishan Bhalla
My good buddy Ishan needed some quick portraits for school so we banged these out pretty quick the other day. He was trying to go for serious and badass, but let's face it, he's got such a great smile it was only a matter of time before he cracked!
